When asked why he didn't finish school, Tony is frank. "I didn't listen to my mother," he says. "I was out running around -- being a kid."
Years later, he knows the value of education and finds it hard to get a good job without one. Although he's always worked, Tony is hoping his high school equivalency diploma will give him a leg up.
"I'm finding it harder and harder to find a well-paying job -- one that lets you get ahead," he says of his circumstance. "And I'm tired of living paycheck to paycheck."
Although he is unsure of his next move, he thinks he would enjoy getting a degree in culinary arts or becoming a case worker for the mentally handicapped.
